Part IV. Essay: 

You're in charge of a semester-long class (say, 30 meetings) with 10 Trump supporters and 10 Biden supporters; how would you use the humanities to lessen the polarization that divides them?

Please write an essay of about 500-600 words (typewritten, double-spaced, with one-inch margins).

Part V. Letters of Recommendation

Secure two letters of recommendation from members of the ¾«¶«AV community and enter their names and email addresses below. Solicit letters from faculty members who know you well. At least one of your recommenders must be a full-time faculty member (preferably tenured or tenure track). Ask for the letter of recommendation at least two weeks before the deadline. Faculty will be notified of their inclusion on your application and asked to submit letters separately. Faculty members should email the recommendation letters directly to the Porter Committee: porter-scholarship-committee@jcu.edu
